Speak Your Mind

I used to run.  I even enjoy running.  But now, I am saddly out of shape.

Your blog is fun to read and quite entertaining.  I like how you compared running on a treadmill to a hamster in an exercise ball.  What a hoot!

Keep on running!

As I’ve probably mentioned before, but back in the day the treadmill was viewed as a form of corporal punishment to wear out prisoners.
To illustrate:

“In 1826, Enoch Thomas and Owen Jones were to be found languishing in Cardigan County Gaol.  Enoch had been found guilty of burglary , and sentenced to 2 years hard labour, and Owen of theft, and sentenced to 6 months hard labour.  Their punishment included 8 hours daily on the dreaded treadmill.  They were however excused hard labour on Christmas Day and Good Friday.”

Hi TG;

Great site! Regarding treadmills; if only they could be hooked up to a turbine; then we could generate our own electricity; which would in turn fuel the treadmills, and so on and so on.
