Blog Roll me!
February 01, 2005
I would like to offer a small, probably uninteresting commentary on blogging. I have been doing this for lo these many (well, about two) weeks and in the last few days I have been added to three—count them three—“blog rolls.” These are three total strangers who thought, for even the briefest of moments, that my site was blog roll worthy. (For those who don’t know, the “blog roll” is the list o’ blogs that you like and/or read—mine is under “koinonia.”) Granted, I blogrolled these sites. But it makes me feel like a rock star to be blogrolled back. A small thing, perhaps, but I was thrilled. And on the “Hoarded Ordinaries” blog, I am under “Seekers.” To be called a “seeker” makes me feel like I should spend more time reading or walking in the woods instead of watching copious hours of reality television. I’m going to get on that. I don’t know if I can bring myself to read Tillich, but any book has to be better than The Real World, right? And I am on the blogroll of another who is a youth minister (and I think she said she's getting a doctorate, but now I can't find that). Bless her, her blog's name is "Deep Thought." If that is a Hitchhiker's Guide reference, I am jealous she thought of that blog name first.
